FREQ is the free navigation and convoy app for you and your friends – for iOS and Android.
The admin sets the destination, every phone computes its own route. Falling behind doesn’t mean losing anyone – and everyone arrives at the same spot.
For example: Anna sets the destination, Ben leaves ten minutes later – his route starts right where he is.
An open channel for everyone in the convoy – no button to press. Switch to “Quiet” when you want music. Nothing is recorded.
Speed-camera and hazard warnings – depending on the country, only where that is legal. If someone ahead brakes hard, the convoy knows right away. And when a battery runs low, the others see it.
For example: “70 in 400 m” shows the next change, then FREQ warns of the fixed speed camera – and everyone eases off.
Clear announcements, for example “In 300 metres, turn right”. Avoid motorways if you like. Plan a ride ahead: set a time, invite friends, one tap at departure – and everyone is in the convoy.
Official weather warnings along the route – clearly shown, never read aloud. Mountain roads closed in winter (the Großglockner, for example) appear already while planning. Webcams show you what awaits up there.
Live charging stations: free or occupied. Fuel stations with opening hours. After two hours FREQ quietly suggests a break – with rest areas on the map.
FREQ works with CarPlay and Android Auto: map, turn card and speed like on the phone, the members as dots. Plus offline maps: FREQ shows the map without internet, routes are calculated online.Offline maps are coming soon.
FREQ costs nothing. If you like, leave a voluntary tip. The app is in development and not yet in the stores – built in Vienna.
